The daffodils are out, the birds are singing and the sun is getting stronger which can only mean one thing: spring is here! We love this time of year in Bury St Edmunds, so we’ve put together a list of some of the best things to do in Bury St Edmunds this spring.


WSYO & WSYB Spring Concert

Date: 24th March
Time: 7.30pm
Tickets: Adults £7, Children £5
Venue: The Apex

West suffolk’s young musicians will be putting on a fantastically exciting programme of music at the Apex this month. Music will be performed by the West Suffolk Youth Orchestra and West Suffolk Youth Wind Band. Head along to experience some of the best musical talent in our wonderful region.

English Tourism Week: Free Guided Walk

Date: 25th March
Time: 13:30
Tickets: Book your place at the Tourist Information Point on Angel Hill.
Venue: St Edmundsbury Cathedral

To celebrate English Tourism week, Bury St Edmunds Association of Registered Tour Guides are offering a 90-minute walking tour of the town taking in the town, the abbey and also Abbey Gardens. You’ll learn all about the rich history of Bury St Edmunds, and you know what the best part is? It’s completely free!

Spring Art Exhibition

Date: 31st March - 30th April
Times: Mon-Sat, 10am-5pm (last entry 4pm). Sun, 12pm-4pm (last entry 3pm).
Tickets: Adults £4, Concessions £2, Families £10 (Up to 5 people – min. 1 child, min. 1 adult), Heritage Ticket holders FOC
Venue: Moyse’s Hall Museum

The Cathedral Art Club are pleased to present their Spring Art Exhibition at Moyse’s Hall Museum. This is the perfect way to get into the mood for spring where you can experience all of the beauty, vibrance and colour of this wonderful season through a beautiful collection of work in oils, watercolours and mixed media.

Easter Egg Hunt

Date: 3rd - 17th April
Time: 10am
Tickets: £1.50 per child
Venue: Abbey Gardens

Head over to the Rangers Shop in Abbey Gardens this Easter to take part in a fantastic Easter egg hunt where kids can search for eggs containing letters that make up a super secret codeword! If you can guess the right answer you will win a prize! Fantastic Easter fun for your little Easter bunnies!
