Elseys Gallery, Bury St. Edmunds
Elsey’s Gallery is a small gallery situated in Elsey’s Yard, just off Risbygate St. near Bury St Edmunds town centre. Cate Hadley, Gallerist, opened the space initially as a pop-up art gallery. This was in response to the need to utilise the town’s empty retail units, increase the opportunities for visitors to experience different cultural experience in the town and to raise the profile of Risbygate St.
The gallery space is proving popular with visitors and artists wishing to show there. It has become less of a pop-up and more of a main stay attraction for the town. “Elsey’s,” as it has become affectionately known, is showing and selling a diverse range of art during its current schedule from fine art photography ceramics, textiles art and sculpture.
This vibrant little space provides an affordable option for students and amateur artists to showcase their art. It is also very suitable for art professionals who are working on a small scale, or who want a low-key area to advertise their work for commissions. The cost of mounting exhibitions to artists, crafters and art groups at Elsey’s Gallery is competitive and the space can be hired for any length of time up to one month in duration according to gallery bookings. Arrangements are flexible and can be tailored accordingly.
At Elseys you can book a lesson in many aspects of art at extremely reasonable rates per hour with our many experienced artists and skilled makers.
Contact through the website or by email to the Gallery Director, Cate Hadley for further details.
