Smiths Row, formally known as The Bury St Edmunds Art Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. Smiths Row works with artists to create exhibitions and public art projects. The Market Cross is also home to the Smiths Row Shop,  the shop sells high quality craft and design by some of the region's and the country's most interesting ceramicists, jewellers, printmakers, textile and glass artists. Smiths Row has a strong outreach programme and runs regular artist led groups to the elderly and isolated people living in rural communities.
