Dollond & Aitchison is the oldest retail optical chain on the High Street with a long-established reputation for providing excellent eyecare and eyewear. Having been owned by De Rigo, one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of premium eyewear, since 1998 Dollond & Aitchison was merged with Boots Opticians in May 2009.

Both businesses had a strong heritage and an excellent reputation for service, customer care and quality products, which provided a great opportunity to combine these strengths and offer customers even better value for money.
