Although Churchgate Accountants is a newly formed company, it has a long professional history. The directors Robin Jackson, Roger Baker, Michael MacSwiney and Alwyn Evans have a combined experience in the profession of over 50 years.  Their priority is providing the client with tailored, personal advice covering all aspects of accounts, tax and financial planning.  This means that clients have peace of mind that Churchgate Accountants can assist them with any queries they may have.

Robin, Roger, Michael and consultant Gary Markham first met when they were all working together at Thornton Baker located at Churchgate House, Churchgate Street in Bury St Edmunds.  They have continued to work together since.  In 1986, Thornton Baker became known as Grant Thornton and then in 1988 the practice moved to our current premises, 18 Langton Place. It was here that Robin, Roger, Michael and Gary met Alwyn Evans when he joined Grant Thornton.

In March 2011, the Grant Thornton Bury St Edmunds office was transferred to Churchgate Accountants Limited.  Churchgate Accountants has a strong, highly qualified team of over 25 people who can advise clients on all areas.  Within the team, there is specialist knowledge of Agriculture and Medical Practices.
