Balaam's Music

Balaam's Music is an independently owned business supplying printed music and musical instruments of all kinds, from traditional stringed instruments like Violins and Cellos to Flutes, Saxophones, Trumpets and all kinds of brass and woodwind. Stocks include Guitars, Drums, keyboards and Digital Pianos from leading manufacturers like Yamaha  Roland, Casio, Tanglewood and Sonor.

Balaam's Music is unusual in that it has a NAMIR repair workshop on the premises, which can take care not only of the initial setting-up of instruments (all-important for inexperienced players!) but they can also take care of work ranging from Services and Overhauls of wind and stringed instruments, to emergency running repairs.

Balaam's Music stocks a large range of instrument tutor books from all the leading publishers, as well as examination material from Associated Board (ABRSM) and Trinity Guildhall.

A printed list of private teachers of music is available to personal callers at the shop, and an Instrument Rental Programme is run to put good quality instruments into the hands of students of all ages, without a large outlay.
